there were 6 of us on the tour - me, a dutch guy, 2 kiwis and 2 ozzies. the 6 of us along with our spanish speaking only driver...cruised along the south part of bolivia to see the lagunas and salt flats. the first day we spent the afternoon taking photos at the salt flats....so fun!! we even bought toys to add to our photos haha. i didnt have that many and i dont think my group did either...just cuz we didnt have enough time. i´ve seen other ppl´s photos and they look amazingly funny!!! i only have a few funny ones haha! our driver who is also our cook, prepared lunch for us by the cactus island (forgot the name but i have it written down somewhere)...it was quite good! then we drove and drove....i swear the salt flat was endless...i would close my eyes for abit cuz i was tired and would open my eyes every 10 minutes or so...more salt flats...omg its endless!

that night we stayed in San Juan, in a little salt hotel. the whole structure is made out of salt, it has about 10 rooms or so but it was only the 6 of us that night. our driver/cook made us bbq chicken and veggie soup. some guys bought bolivian wine on one of the stops we had..it costs 30 bolivianos...so cheap! so we ate and drank the 2 bottles of wine and went to bed early.

The next day was a long...we drove and drove into the dessert of bolivia. the scenary was nice...road was bumpy (not so much of a road but more like drive wherever it is flat haha). i already cant remember the names of the lagunas we saw...lots of flamingos tho...really cute. that night we stayed in a dorm room in the national park...that area was so windy! but luckily it was warm indoor. oh btw, the weather in bolivia is so weird. its so warm during the day where u can wear summer clothes but once the sun is down u have to bust out winter clothes like sweaters, hats and gloves. it was so hard to pack for this trip!

we left at 4am the next day to catch sunrise and see the geysers and thermal spa. the geysers are so cool...and smelly but cool. by 7am we were all hanging out in the thermal spa while our driver was preparing our breakfast. ive never been to a thermal spa...the outdoor temperature must have been around 5 degree or so but the water was suppose to be 30. afterwards our driver dropped me and 2 others at the border of bolivia and chile. we got on another bus that took us to san pedro de atacama....yeh chile!! :)
