and still more rain

Surprise, surprise we wake up to more rain. We were thinking of a fairly short drive to more beautiful lakes the other side of Salzburg so didn’t start driving until 2pm but we have had enough of rain so decided to make a break for it and drive as far as we can in yet more torrential rain. We cross the border into Austria. We stop when we have had enough of driving, about 5pm and randomly choose a place called Melk, which turns out to be a really beautiful town. The campsite is on the river Danube with a big castle on the river bend and tourist boats passing regularly. We manage to get the tent up in light rain, just in time of more of the torrential stuff.
