Sagada is beautiful.  Lots of wacky people here, like a French expat who bakes wholewheat bread and a thousand friendly locals who want to grab you and take you on impromptu tours.  It is cold here (by Filipino standards), and it rains sometimes (especially during typhoon season), and thus is a lovely vacation spot for someone like Kyla who lives in the Visayas, where it is very, very hot.

In 4 days here, we went caving, hiking, mountain biking, more hiking, saw a giant waterfall, hanging coffins, stacked coffins, open coffins, local pottery, cows, pigs, chickens, and many bakeries, and still had time to watch "Deal or No Deal" (Filipino Edition) before bed.

Which way do we go? If only we had a guide!

We purchased our first souvenirs, and we both managed to get sick- probably the first time of many.

hi. how much did you spend for this sagada trip? where did you stay? do you have a contact # of this place where you stayed? if you could share your itinerary with me it would be really great! Hoping you could help me because we are planning to go to sadaga on the 29th of November but haven't reserved to anywhere yet. We are still waiting for the response from the travel agency who could help us if the costing will be within budget but if not we'll just go on our own.

Hi- sorry it took so long to reply. If you haven't made bookings yet, I hope this helps. We stayed at the Homestay for the Transient, run by a woman named Karen (0919-702-8380) for 200 pesos per night per person. Great big rooms, very nice place to stay, and very affordable. It is kind of hard to find from the bus, but if you text her she will meet you there when you arrive. Some more info is at: http://www.virtualtourist.com/hotels/Asia/Philippines/Mountain_Province/Sagada-1384548/Hotels_and_Accommodations-Sagada-BR-3.html Enjoy the trip!
