Day 2

Our first destination today is Pasar Baru. It is a 7-storeys building where you can find mainly clothings, batik, muslim wear, lace materials, embroidered kebaya etc. Ain bought lots of materials here - mostly lace as the prices are dirt cheap. Myself & Ija bought some too - being a woman, you just cant resist it, trust me !

For a moment I felt as though I've been transported into another timeline

My maid had asked me to get her some CDs while I'm in bandung. After been asking a few people, we head straight to this place called Kota Kembang. We've made a mistake by taking a cab to get there coz it has cost us quite a fortune - so damn expensive for such a short journey! We had our so-called "lunch" at the same area. While eating, two local guys came by - one of them is playing the guitar while singing & the other guy collected the money. The reason why I note down this subject is becoz I'm so impressed with the singer - he has such a good voice especially for just an ordinary guy like him. His voice sounded much better than most of our local artist, that's for sure !

After Kota Kembang, we went to Rumah Mode to check the outlets there. There were a few other outlets here as well but we only went to Rumah Mode. Personally, I dont really like the place. No doubt there are plenty of clothings here but it doesnt really caught my attention. Most of the time, I couldnt get the right size. Other than that, it's just the design. I noticed that the price here is a little bit higher as compared to other outlets. Maybe becoz the name Rumah Mode alone is already very well established & that would definately brings in the huge crowd all the time.

On the way back to Dago, we stopped by at Cihampelas Street a.k.a Jeans Street. All I can say is that there's nothing much to this place - just ordinary and old fashioned clothes, especially jeans. However, there's this place at this Chihampelas Street called the Chihampelas Walk or commonly known as ciwalk, which was hidden behind the stores. This place is quite different from other shopping places I've been in Bandung - for a moment I felt as though I've been transported into another timeline. Most worldwide chains and branches such as Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, J-Co are here. We then had out dinner here before heading back to our hotel.
