It took us almost 8 hours to get to Baguio because of all the stops we had to make. We had breakfast at McDonald's in Pangasinan and since there were 12 of us, breakfast took an hour. There were also a few restroom stops. And so the 6-hour drive became a 8-hour one.

We arrived in Baguio in the middle of the day and I was disappointed that it was so sunny and warm. All the zigzag roads also made me nauseous and so I arrived harassed, haggard and cranky. We had lunch at Carlo's Pizza (see review) and I drank Sprite to ease away the nausea. I felt better afterwards and I realized that although it was sunny, the air was pretty cool and fresh.

We checked in at the hotel at 2pm but the guests were late checking out and so we had to wait for our other room. They should've given us a discount but they didn't. Instead of spending the afternoon waiting, we went to my in-laws' house in the area.

We were supposed to go to Burnham Park to go boating but, since it was Mother's Day, the park was fully packed. We decided to stay at Camp John Hay instead. We went horseback riding and we brought the kids to the park. Afterwards, we had dinner at Dencio's also at the commissary.

I didn't expect my kids to even like Baguio (they wanted to go to the beach) so I was surprised to see them having such a great time. It must have been the weather. =D
