day 16: michael goes home (boo hoo!)

well, this was a very sad day for us.  it was our last day together for another three months.  i was so glad that he had come to visit though because i felt totally reconnected to him after spending almost every second together for two weeks.  we woke up early in our cute little shanti room and got michael all packed up.  went out to the street to catch a cab and off we were to the airport.  had plenty of time to wait with each other and have a little breakfast before he had to disappear on the other side of the security gates.  it was nice to realize just how much i did love him after he was gone again for a second time now.  it was harder to say goodbye this time because i knew how long we would be apart and how that would feel this time.  i felt even more alone this time too because i wasnt traveling with anyone else for another week or so.  i was super teary and sniffled all the way back into the city in the back of the cab.  i spent the rest of the day just being depressed in the room that michael had shared with me just hours before.  i knew eventually i would enjoy the rest of my trip but i also knew i needed the day to process my loss and feel alone.
