Salt factory and Blind people’s home

The four of us took the whole day off today from school by going out with the lovely dears. We visited the local salt factory in the morning which was really interesting. Unfortunately there is still repercussions after the Tsunami of not being able to get enough salt, with there not being much water getting to the reservoirs. Hopefully it won’t get to the point of having to import salt from India, which it might well do.

In the afternoon we visited a local blind home for the elderly. They were all so kind and so independent in all they do. After we handed out small gifts and fizzy drinks, they sang amazingly to us. Such great singers, an inspiration!
