The day of the Zoo!
Ok so I am the first to admit (and Jas probably won't believe me) that I got VERY excited about the propsect of going to the San Francisco Zoo. So much so, that in patened Vicki form I ran around on the days previous exclaiming 'Zoo' very loudly! And chatting to anyone and everyone about what there was to see. Unfortunately the child in me was - on the day - sat upon by the big fat adult in me! Zoo's, while they serve a purpose to educate; to raise awareness and to protect/breed endandered species, are dreadfully depressing places. The child in me still managed to sneak a peak and wonder in awe at the strength of the rhino and the breath-taking beauty of the lioness however each exclaimation of awe was tempered by the knowledge that these wild animals should never be caged and that the human race has a dreadful amount to answer for.
Zoo's... are dreadfully depressing places.
