Vietnam Already!

Our first morning in Ha Noi - we have breakfast at the hotel, then get our bus to head off to the city of Ha Long. It's about a 4 hour drive - we enjoy the beautiful Vietnamese countryside and have a short stop half way to visit an orphanage where they make tourist goods - for once we don't buy anything! Very expensive! We have lunch in Ha Long city and then have a wander around the shorefront where we can see the splendours of Ha Long Bay offshore. We also browse the local markets. For dinner we go by ourselves to a local seafood restaurant and enjoy a local seafood dish called crayfish - in reality the size of a yabby and tasting like a prawn = very nice. Then back to our hotel for a well earned sleep.
