All creatures great and small

Hi Guys,
We are just about to get the bus to Johor in Malaysia and leave singapore behind. What an amazing city, the people are friendly and the atmosphere is nice, if not a little manic. We have been staying in a part of town called little india and have also visited china town and sentosa - an island off the south coast of singapore (saw our first beach :) looked a bit fake like tho, like most other things on sentosa). We took the cable car there and which i loved - cant say the same for scarlett tho - pity i havent got a picture of the look on her face!
The first night we got here was a little stressful as we didnt book anywhere to stay but a couple from preston kindly showed us the way to their hostel - was a bit expensive so we moved on the next day, oh and on our first walk round the place we encountered our first cochroach running straight for us up the path, needless to say we looked like a pair of idiots dancing around it!
We have tasted some different food, although not alltogether sure what some of it was. The hawker stalls are really cheap, about $4 (just over a quid)for a meal and sometimes soup thrown in too. We went to the zoo where the monkeys and lizards roam free around the whole place which was quite good and i saw dolphins on sentosa and i was in my element (i think scarlett was just humouring me).
I'd say the main thing to do here is shop and every street you turn onto has a huge shopping centre rammed with people buying stuff! Its also very cheap, shame we can't go mad..
The weather here as you'd expect is great, keep waking up expecting rain and cold but it doesn't come.. so were off to the beach!! for a few days just to de-stress :) and try and get a tan too
we'll speak to you soon.. look at our few pics
