Praia do Forte was by far the most resorty place we´ve been on this trip (and the only one where locals actually predicted that we were English in advance of us telling them!) This said, however, it was pretty low key and had a certain charm. The turtle project TAMAR made an interesting visit and there are plenty of good restaurants along a pedestrian shopping drag to people watch from. The beach, suprisingly for one where a resort has been built up, is a bit crap as you can´t really swim. It does however, have plenty of palms and white sands which make it look pretty!
