So the adventure of Celia and Louis started in Pisa. We arrive at Pisa Airport around midday on Monday 30th July and it was HOT (considering the lack of summer in England this year very HOT). Picked up our luggae and off we went. The first thing we needed to figure out was where the train station was, which we soon managed to locate. Then we needed to find where we purchase the ticket from which eventually we found in the airport. We bought our train tickets and off we went to the station platforms. On the way L was impressed by a giant bird outside (not some large Italian lady, > a weird big model of a bird - not sure why it was there hmm???!)

Had to get used to the activating of train and bus tickets before you get on board otherwise the ticket isn't valid. Yippie we were on our way to Pisa central...

we made our way up the tower and I was surprised how much you could actually feel it leaning

Arrive at Pisa central and started walking towards the leaning tower...was really excited about seeing this building as it's one of those that you've seen loads of pictures of. Wasn't too far from station and was sooo excited once we found it. Was quite busy with everyone doing the usual posing of pushing the tower over lol. Went to see if we could get tickets to go up the tower but they did not have any free until after 6pm but we had to catch a train to Florence so we thought we might not be able to make it until some woman aproached us asking if we wanted to buy a pair of tickets as her silly husband had bought them but they had to go by then. So luckily we had our tower trip booked for 5pm (Thanks to her silly man of a husband)

So we went and had lunch. My first real Italian Pizza which was very very yummy in a nice restaurant we sat outside. Also went and looked around the cathedral which was beautiful. 5pm came and we made our way up the tower and I was surprised how much you could actually feel it leaning. Once we got to the top the view was fantastic. Wasn't really fond of looking directly straight down at a wonky angle but great to look for miles. Definitley a trip worth doing and glad we got the opportunity.

It's a challenge to my balance.

So after coming back down from the leaning tower and trying to walk straight...(with no alcohol consumption) we got an ice cream for the walk back to the station (Italian Ice Cream is gorgeous! YUM!)

Then it was time to make our way to Florence....
