We get up early because we are used to the early rhythm. 6.30 wakeup call, we drive to Broome today!! It is a few hours drive and nothing much to see so we can drive on. The only thing we did is visit the Boab Prison Tree. A tree where in early days(war) people were held prison.

We arrive to early in Broome to check in at the hotel and decide to drive around to see Broome. We search for the hotel, find China Town (where we can use the internet) but at a certain moment when you see the ocean... you don't know what happens. Gigantic blue, so beautiful and special!

When we drive to Roebuck bay we think it is really busy, but it is a sunday and beautiful weather. No... the real reason is that there is a special festival, the Shinju Matsuri Festival (=festival of the pearl). It is a festival to honor the pearldivers. There is a dragon boat race, a parade, mardi gras, exhibition etc.

After that we drive to Cable beach, we heard a lot of great stories about it. And yes the beach is wonderful, sparkling blue water, white sand and at some places orange rocks which give a beautiful contrast with the water and the sand. We also decide to wash the car today. Everywhere you can see(and where you can't see inside and outside) there is red dirt. A high pressure cleaner works a little bit, but a lot has to be done by hand. After 2 HOURS we are ready. Pfff Time to check into the hotel.

Much to our surprise we have the Keshi suite. Very luxuries, decorated Japanese style. We decide to relax in the big jacuzzi. We have a look at the complex and make a dinner reservation. That was a wise thing to do, because it is very crowded. The food is also good and back in the room we have a look at the movie channel and watch The wedding date and go to sleep.
