From PERU South American adventure in Santiago, Chile on Nov 17 '06

Pete and Kris has visited no places in Santiago
show more map

Arriving at the airport we were greeted as usual by throngs of people trying to get us into there taxis etc but we are used to that now so boldly walked through the masses repeating "no Gracìs"

We caught a cheap bus into town and then the underground (metro) and then walked to the hostel Kris ankle hurting but OK.

The hostel was really nice run by a friendly american and again we met people from earlier on in the travels

The next day we searched for things to do in Santiago and found ourselves walking through Museums and markets and not entirely happy so we again changed our plans and booked a bus for the next day to Medoza, back into Argentina were we had wanted to go but skipped on the way daown, it was only an 8 hour bus ride which is nothing these days!

That evening we went out for a meal with 15 others from the hostel which was really nice chatting with people from around the world!

The re-packed AGAIN as leavinbg a dorm early (before9m) means you have to be organised to not annoy others.
