When in Rome...
From Italy Trip - 2007 in Rome, Italy on Mar 09 '07
Rome was amazing. We spent 5 days there and we still didn't see everything that we could have seen. The Pantheon, Basilica, and Colosseum were all amazing. The Trevi Fountain was glorious as well as the ruins of Rome. Words really cannot due any of these justice. Each one was carefully constructed over thousands of years could be the center of any other city. The fact that they are all within walking distance amazes me.
After days of walking around Rome, we actually had to stop because our feet couldn't take it anymore contrary to what we wanted to do. We definitely made the most of whatever we did. We explored the bus system, we ate at the best restaurants and we saw the most beautiful churches and sculptures.
Rome-There's just never enough time...
I wish I had pictures to show people, but the experience will forever be burned into my head. I will definitely travel back to Rome at some point because of it's beauty.
As much beauty exists in Rome, the food was keeping up in the race. I have never had better lasagna in my life. On a side note, I love that Italians eat a first meal and a second meal at dinner. It is similar to courses, but they are actually meals in their own. Because of this, every dinner I was able to get both pizza as well as an Italian dish. Delicious.
