Not much to do here... But a nice rest!

Picton is probably one of the oddest stops on the Stray itinerary. It is quite a lovely little town, but doesn't have a lot to do... We basically stopped here to pick up/drop off people that are coming in from / going to the North Island on Stray buses. The ferry to Wellington comes into Picton, so it is a good meeting point.
The drive up to Picton was more coastline, and we stopped along the way at another seal colony. Pretty much the same as the one yesterday, but the seals were much more active here. They were playing in the pools and chasing each other around, as opposed to just lazing on the rocks.

We went for a little hike out from town into the fjords area on the edge of Picton. Was a pretty nice easy hike, with a lot of foliage surrounded the water areas, but not necessarily a whole lot to write home about. The hike lasted for a couple of hours, and then we went back to the hostel to rest and hang out.
The evening turned into a puzzle marathon, as some of us were so bored that we decided to tackle a Star Wars puzzle that they had sitting in the hotel. It was surprisingly fun, which means there really was nothing else to do... That and a couple of beers may have made it more enjoyable... The hotel also served it's legendary apple crumble, which was a little bit of heaven in the evening. Nice homely feel! The relaxation time was actually quite nice, since it gave us more time to bond as a group.
