Sanctuary Cove/Gold Coast, Australia
From Round The World in 3 Months in Gold Coast, Australia on Apr 12 '07
The week leading up to Stace & Ry's wedding I stayed with one of my closest friends, Lisa, who was back from a holiday in South Africa. I was very excited to see her after two years and much had changed - she'd bought a new flat in New Farm and gotten engaged to Noel! We had fun while I stayed there and she introduced me to the best sushi place in Brissy! I also caught up for lunch with friends I'd met through work years ago - Janice, Adrienne and Lisa, so it was great to see them and catch up on all the goss.
Friday before the wedding, I headed down to Sanctuary Cove where Stacey had organised a dinner (these are the first lot of photo's where you'll spot my friends Kass, Kirsty, Phil her husband, and of course Stace.
Then Saturday, 14th April, was the big day. I've included tons of photo's, Stacey and Ry both looked gorgeous and Kass and I were the bridesmaids in pink! Ryan had his friend Josh for the best man, and his brother Brent as the groomsman. The wedding was held at a chapel at the Hyatt in Sanctuary Cove and the reception at the marina.
It was a very traditional wedding and the theme was pink and silver. There was a man-made beach at the Hyatt which made for some great photo's that the professional photographer snapped.
The day went off without a hitch (except for the flowers being delivered to the wrong hotel and having to pick them up in the nick of time!) and later that evening we partied with our closest friends - you'll see the line up of girls in the pic's including: Me, Kass, Lisa, Kirst, Kimmy and Stace. And some photo's including their partners: Noel (Lisa's fiance), Phil (Kirsty's husband), John (Kass' boyfriend) and Dan (Kimmy's boyfriend).
