Ok, apologies again for the slight delay in blogging! In an attempt to get up to date the next couple are going to be brief!

We arrived early evening in Surfers and went straight to the campsite we found in our travel book. It was the best looking site we had been to as it was surrounded by the skyscrapers of Surfers. A quick walk around the town later we had some dinner and a few beers and called it a night.

We woke up early the next day to hit one of the local theme parks. We chose the Wet and Wild Water Park just north of Surfers and spent all day there running about the place enjoying the rides like little kids. After being one of the last to leave the place we had nothing better to do other than get drunk again. We hit the Goon in a big way and went out in the town.

The next day was slightly more civilised. Us lads left Natalie in bed and went to the beach for our surf lesson. We learnt with the Cheyne Horan (ex world champ. apparently) School which ended up being the right choice as we were out in the water and standing up in no time. The photos have been on Flickr for a while...i'm sure you've seen them. After the big one the night before we decided on a quiet night staying in the van playing cards and no-hands-cheesecake eating(!)

Natalie woke the next morning for her surf lesson while we grabbed some breakfast and spent time on the internet. We had to leave to move onto Byron Bay though that day which was the first time i felt a bit sad about leaving a place. The beach, shops and bars were all great and with the skyscrapers lining the beach it looked like no where else we had been in Oz before. Still, move on we must.
