It was a bit of good fortune that the night before the full moon it absolutely pissed it down, although it didnt seem it at the time. It meant that we didnt go to had rin and got a good nights sleep. We got up about lunch time and met up with the derby boys. One of the group had been here before so knew of a really nice bay on the island. We all went to had rin where we got a taxi boat to had juan. We arrived and this is what the postcards look like, It was absolutely beautiful. We walked up into the mountains to a bar that Si said did really good mushroom shakes. We got four shakes between 7 of us and drank them and they were lovely (well not exactly lovely but bearable). Actually they wasnt to bad . They started having an effect before we left the bar and we were giggling messes trying to pay the bill. We ended up giving the guy far to much money but couldnt work out the change so left it. We walked down to the beach via a bridge that is so sketchy walking over especially after a mushroom shake. We sat on the beach for a while laughing then Si and Luke swam out to a pontoon which was about 50 yards out. One by one the lads started swimming out there until there was just me and andy left. The pontoon looked so far and i had forgot how to swim. We decided to just float about then we thought sod it and swam out there which was quite an effort. I had to do doggy paddle because i really couldnt swim and luke was creasing up as i got to the raft. Once we were there we all got the giggles. We must have looked so funny. 7 lads standing (wobbling is a better description) on a floating bit of wood just laughing there heads off. The mountain bar where we got the mushrooms overlooks the sea so we were a great advertising campaign for their mushrooms, if a potential customer walked in and asked what they were like the owners only had to say look at them. The funniest part was we couldnt get of the pontoon we were all far to mashed so we thought we were going to have our own full moon party there. Eventually we managed to swim back and have a really weird journey back to muchies first by boat then by taxi. In the taxi it felt like we were all being shipped out of a war zone and dave had started calling ourselves the munchies 8. It was hilarious.  The mushrooms wore off we had our showers then headed to had rin for the full moon party. You could tell the night was different as roads were blocked off and taxis full off people were pulled over by police for random drug searches. we got there in one peice though and got ready for the night with a few beers

A few buckets later and the mushrooms were forgotten and we danced in the drum and base bar for ages. This night was mental i have never seen a beach so full. I cant really write much about the night because it is just a blur of buckets and talking to people. I got about 6 uv tatoos where i was so drunk and luke got a few. Everyone was on their own random missions. One bloke was going round painting numbers on people, he was so pissed and was just asking random people if he could put a number on them. We had a chat with him and he was trying to number as many as possible. We saw him later and he had got to 1000 and was chuffed with himself. I watched the fire throwers drank loads and me and Si went off on loads of random missions which were all hilarious at the time but cant really remeber what we were doing. I got home about 10 after probably the maddest night of my life. Luke got back at 2 the next afternnon, the aussies from the reggae bar had found him and taken him to the after party. He lost his flip flops again and just put any pair on to walk home, he walked home in flip flops that we size 6 (he is an 11) which were white with pink flowers on them lol. What a messy night but i recommend it to anyone it was the best week ever and we think we might come back for the full moon party in september.

Next day we slept all day and got our stuff ready to leave for Ko Somui.
