Well, we all arrived and finally got through both the Miami and Santiago airports.  The ALPI people showed up with a small bus and a small pull-behind trailor that was supposed to fit over 30 people and their luggage; it didn't quite fit everyone, but it took a good 4 hours until we all were loaded and safely delivered to our host families.  One of the families had a BBQ for a few of us to welcome us.  The family had food and drinks prepared for us and about 20 of us tried to practice our spanish while the dominicans practiced their english to get to know one another.  It was pretty neat because all of us were crammed on a roof top and we talked and danced until midnight.  It was definately a quick, unexpected way to be thrown into the dominican culture!

Arrival: 4 hours on a bus and a roof party!
