Hermitage is a must see... with all the paintings of Remberandt, Picasso and Kivinsky et al
Pushkin is in the suburbs and the whole trip takes abt 3 hours. World War 2 memorials can be clubbed with the Pushkin tour.
Many Orthodox churches have been built in St. Peters so they make an interesting visit. So does the mosaic church of spilled blood...
