Torrential Visit To Atlantis

Our ship stopped in Naussau, Bahamas to torrential rains.  We were told of lovely jewelry shops, adventurous excursions and lovely baskets.  We were piled into a van, 10 people over capacity and hydroplaned our way to the Atlantis resort.  On the way, I saw boarded up buildings and empty shops.  Granted, there had been a hurricane not long before our visit, but it wasn't the paradise I had envisioned.  Atlantis was neat.  There were a few high end shops at the entrance.  I stumbled upon a Versace pink studded purse I just had to know the price on...5 the saleslady told me.  Hmmm...$500?  $5,000.  I decided if I won a million dollars in the casino I would buy it.  I perused the tables and found my favorite "Let It Ride", I may be an amateur, but I am used to paying $15 a hand, not $50....I rode on...I was unable to access most of Atlantis because  I was not a guest.  I was not impressed.  We were told there would be transportation from the casino to our boat and loaded 700 people into another van.  We were dropped off at a dock.  We had to then board a boat to reach our boat.  Of course, all the while it was $2 here, $2 there for this transportation.  I had a very different picture of paradise.
