Leaving Home

It's the day we've been waiting for so such a long time - the start of our trans Canadian trip.  The flight to Melbourne is very early due to a change in Qantas' schedule (6.45am instead of a more civil 7.45am).

We check in not without problems but thankfully after 10mins it's not our fault but the Qantas staff member who can't read or hear very well! (Really we're laughing at this! We haven't even left Adelaide and there's a hiccup???)

A quick bite to eat and a coffee for Susan at the Qantas lounge. We make use of the time in a lounge while we can as it'll be our last. The flight is quick and we make our way to Immigration and Security. We're really conscious of what we can take on board with us but it seems we're okay on the leg to Auckland. It's from there on that people are being searched.
