Spent several days and nights in Adelaide, broken up by side trips to Kangaroo Island and Barossa Valley. The city center is laid out in a grid, and therefore easy to navigate.
Wandered through the city, enjoying stops at:
Adelaide Central Markets, where we found everything from fruit to nuts, from bung fritz (South Australian sausage) to candy underwear.
Adelaide Festival Center, and its colorful sculptures.

St. Peter's Cathedaral, and its stained glass windows and hidden chapel.
Adelaide Oval, where there is a statue of Don Bradman. Bradman is the Babe Ruth of Australian cricket. Not in the womanizing, beer swilling, hot dog eating sort of way, but in the legendary, best known, arguably best ever sense. Bradman played his first and last test matches in Adelaide, and died here in 2001.
