Paros was our first Greek island on the agenda as my Great Auntie Anne lives there for the summer. Paros took about 5 hours to get to from Athens on a large ferry. As soon as we hopped off the boat, there was a whole different feel to it, all the houses were very beautiful and how i pictured Greece to be, lots of windmills and white buildings with blue windows and doors. We met my aunt and uncle and got driven to Noussa where they lived and had booked a hotel for us. The room was joy, nice comfy beds, aircon, fridge and a balcony with a beach view. Noussa was our favourite town, with lots of little ally ways with joy restaurants and cool little shops. In greece, everyone is big on simple foods in the morning, yoghurts and fruit then greek salads for lunch, then a well deserved siesta until 5:00 pm. The greeks have a late dinner and dont go to bed until midnight. Clubs dont open til 12:00 am and people dont stop partying til about 5 or 6 in the morning. Food is very well priced, getting beers for 1 euro for longnecks and joy kebabs for 1 euro fifty. We went and stayed in a campsite called Santa Maria camping right on the beach for 7 euro per night which was really cool, there was a huge pool with a bar in it, mini market and a restaurant. Millie and i met our first friends there who were australian, two girls, Holly and Kate and two guys Dan and Jordan, who were from Perth and Melbourne. We shared some of the same friends with the Perthinian which was no surprise with Perth being so small. We hired some little scooters and cruised around Paros at our leisure. Found some amazing sights and beaches with beautiful crystal blue water. We decided to go to another island called Ios with our new mates, which was said to be areal party island and a bit smaller than Paros.
