Arriving by bus into Bangkok we jumped into a taxi, who took us to Khao San road almost without us asking him to - as we didnt stay here when we were first in Bangkok we thought we should check it out to see what all the fuss is about!  Lots of neon, backpacker stalls, bars and restaurants make it look very different to the Bangkok we knew 2 months ago.  We had some beers to toast the end of our journey together, and then attempted to dance the night away.

Rachs last day in south east asia was spent in fine style - catching up with our friend Johnny and the Pirates of the Carribean - close and personal from the 2nd row *sigh*.  The Thai movie theatres have these weird bouncy seats that we made fools of ourselves dancing in to the terrible pop music that was playing - until the national anthem came on, where everyone stands up in respect to the King, while slightly out of focus photos of him being kingly flashed down the screen.

Then I raced to my overnight train to Surat Thani, while Rach headed to the airport to catch her plane to the UK.  Its been a blast Rach see you in London!
