so we decided to drive up to sedona... it was GORGEOUS! we almost died on the way up there though. i decided that we should go through jerome, and the only way to do that is to take the mountain up on the single lane road that is a cliff. a cliff which drops hundreds of feet to impending doom at the slightest mistake of the hand at the wheel. this is usually very exciting, but this time it was bordering insane. it was snowing up on the mountain hardcore!! we were the only car on the road going that direction. i didnt want to go too slow as to get stuck in the piling snow, but i didnt want to go too fast as to slip off of the edge of the cliff to my death (and erics)... i kept thinking of the song "there is a light that never goes out" by the smiths. anyone who knows this song well would know WHY. ;)

we made it though... jerome is such a cool place. its this little haunted ghost town that hangs on a cliff. maynard from tool and perfect circle lives there. its a really spooky and ambient type place. i LOVE it!! and the drive up there is amazing... so it was worth it. it was a fun adventure that ill never forget... so, we made it safely up to sedona, where we stayed with erics father and his fiance. they were both super sweet and very welcoming to me. their house was GORGEOUS! it was like an art museum! i can see where eric gets his artsy bits... so, we woke up to a crazy snowstorm that would have kept us in sedona for a few days, and we had the birthday massacre show in phoenix to get down for... so we got up, ate breakfast, and hung out with our hosts for awhile. we took a walk up to this huge cliff that overlooks sedona and the surrounding areas, which was BREATHTAKING!! we got some really good pics... the snow made everything at a distance totally white and grey. you couldnt tell what was sky and what was earth. it was REALLY neat. i hadnt been in snow like that ever! so that was exciting... it was a really romantic and fun time that i enjoyed very much! even the drive back down to phoenix was fun. we listened to a lot of music and had time just to chill and enjoy eachothers company... life doesnt get any better than that!!
