one view of the library. It's huge and contains so many books! I was glad that I could navigate my way through the labrynth!

Today, I picked up my cell phone here in the UK (it's a Nokia 6100).  If you want my number and I didn't email it to you let me know and I'll give it to you.  After getting my phone from a store called Carphones, I went to Strand campus to sort out my classes.  Everything's all straightened out and it was quick and easy actually.  Then I went to the school's library which was about a 5 minute walk away.  I borrowed a couple of books while learning about the library system.  Afterwards, I headed towards Picadilly Circus to check out LillyWhites, an athletic store.  I was shopping for some football boots and found a pair of Predator Pulse TRX SG.  They retail for about 70 pounds and they were on sale for 35 pounds.  I didn't buy them though because I was bidding on more boots on eBay.  I'll go back tomorrow morning to buy them.  I've attached pictures of the school's library, somewhat majestic looking and at the same time daunting.  Almost like a tastefully-architected prison?

All was travel was by foot because it was SUPER windy.  A tree fell over on a road cutting of the bus that I would normally take.  I didn't want to take the tube because I wasn't in a hurry and didn't want to spend the money.

Tomorrow will be picking up the football boots, maybe a quick run, lots of reading and studying, and some other-country travel planning?

Oh, tonight I cooked some salmon I picked up at a local grocery store.  I popped in the oven with some diced onions, garlic, salt, and butter.  I wrapped it in foil to keep the juices and flavor in.  I left it in the oven for about 25 minutes at 250 celsius.  On top of that, I made rice and had some of Laurenda's spicy tomato-y curry.  It was all good stuff.  The salmon didn't taste like anything I would have expected but it wasn't too dry, too moist, or too bland.  Bottom line: I'd do it again.  I had a bottle of Merlot but didn't drink it because I didn't have a proper glass.  I'm realizing that I need to buy some glassware, utencils, plates, etc.  I've been bumming it for these couple of weeks but only because I've also been cooking for others (I can't believe my cooking as been sufficient to pay them off).

This picture was taken the day I came back from Herne Bay (so...Sunday). I forgot to put this up. Anyway, it's (left to right) Pera, Laurenda, me, Laura, Cam (Pera's girlfriend), and Sacha. We ate at Nando's...a portugese food place. I had 1/2 of a spiced chicken with chips and coleslaw. Good stuff, but expensive

Whoosh!!! I saw a short story on the news a video of a plane taking off from one of the London airports ... the plane was "flying" sideways. They also showed Condalisa Rice (sp?) coming done the stairs of an airplane and she was holding onto the railing for dear life. It said that there were gusts up to 100mph. That's some chill factor.
