On the way to Swakopmund from Sossusvlei, we stopped at Walvis Bay for lunch. After showing us the local salt processing plant, Michael and company took us down to the beach in the hope of getting up close to the flamingoes that live there. There were indeed a lot flamingoes in the bay, but the tide was very far out, as were the flamingoes. Niamh was most disappointed, as she had been hoping for a decent close-up. Guess we'll have to visit Miami for that one.
