Well since everyone had decided it was time to move on from Vang Viene, i jumped into the ship...well kayak actually since we were all kayaking down to Vientiane..it was very interesting and i enjoyed it, even though i managed to lose both my towel and flipflops when going down some rapids!! I was very upset, but not as upset as i was later when me and Danni (the girl i was kayaking with) got so much water into the kayak that it capsized and we were left bobbing in the river while Sam (complete hero) rescued our kayak and oars!! After finishing we got into a tuk tuk (dripping wet) and got dropped off in the middle of Vientiane. Found accommodation and then all met up for mexican food at Alexies as a reward! Had a great meal and lots of fun and laughter before we moved onto a nearby bar called Stickies! Had a gorgeous margharita (i am getting into these after hot days!-just the one though) before everyone went home and to bed.

The next day we all strangely met in the same coffee shop (JoMa's, same as in Luang PraBang) and eat brunch before the others went and sorted out how they were getting to Hanoi, Vietnam. After this we all strolled around and Al finally got his haircut (this had been a struggle since Luang Pra Bang!!) and then we went home to shower while the people braving the 24 hour bus packed up. we all said our goodbyes to Sam, Jenni and Lyndsey before we went for a beer lao (with the people who'd decided to fly, Chris and me) and then for some food at a gorgeous continental restaurant...pizzas even better than pizza expresses!!! We then went back to watch a HBO movie before bed. The next day we went to the morning market (i was very pleased to get some flipflops because had been borrowing other peoples shoes or walking barefoot for the entire day) and some postcards too. We then went back to their room, Chris caught his flight and i packed up and had lunch with Al while Danni and Ricky posted their letters and went for their massage.

Caught the bus to the border, very easy and then the night train from Nong Khai to Bangkok. Was the simplest thing in the world and didnt lose anything!! Am now going to book my diving course!
