We have decided to start off the year by seeing London.  Since arriving we really haven't seen a whole lot of London and we feel that we have been taking advantage of living here.

We spent a few hours touring Westminister Abbey and it was amazing.  I have been there before but Patrick hadn't.  Going through with the audio guide was definitely a good idea - I didn't do that the last time and there are so many sights to see within the Abbey.  It is such a beautiful building and Patrick was so amazed by the whole experience.

Westminister is quite pricey and we decided that maybe going to St. Paul's Cathedral could wait because it is also a pretty expensive sight.  While we at lunch, though, I was looking through our tour guide and saw that you can get into St. Paul's for free if you attend an Evening Prayer, so that is what we did.  There were about 30 people who attended the prayer.  It was a really nice thing to do, we got to sit in the Quire seats and just hearing the echo of the service in the dome of St. Paul's was truely an unreal experience.

St. Paul's is such a massive building, we will definitely go back and tour it properly but Patrick really wanted to see what it was about.  I am glad that we went, eventhough I didn't really want to.

It was a really fun day and despite the fact that I have already been to both sights, I was happy to do them again with Patrick.  We took our time and really enjoyed them.
