The Big Apple. Just people watching here alone is entertainment in itself! People tripping over themselves at the baggage carousels in JFK airport, the mad rush of shoppers on 5th Avenue over the Christmas weekend, queuing to see the GIANT Christmas tree at Rockefeller Centre and Times Square, if you werent' pushed over by the families of 20 or more, you were lucky!!!

For these 3 nights and 3 days we based ourselves in Radio City, W 49th Street, Midtown Manhattan,so very close to Times Square, Rockefeller Centre and the NBC Studios. This city proved to be everything I thought and hoped it would be! we were so blessed with mild weather, no queuing for restaurants, friendly locals happy to give us directions and holiday fever in the air to top the cake...

On Christmas Eve we had an amazing day tour out to Harlem for the famous Harlem Gospel Brunch! A great way to spend Christmas Eve I say! Learning so much about the area, the soul and rhythm of the days gone by, the hundreds of churches everywhere to be seen, famous manors, past venues of Soul and Blues Music Artists (think James Brown and BB King eras)... Finishing with a fab lunch at a famous old town bar was the perfect way to feel the real energy of this area in the city! Id do it again in a second! (see pics)..

We spent 3 days here over Christmas which was great for getting over jetlag, eating as much as we could and getting used to the masses of people everywhere! Before we knew it, Christmas Day was over and Boxing Day had arrived, we were on to our next destinations!
