Leaving from cold Toronto during my reading week from university and heading for the sunny and hot Nevada desert was exciting.  Only upon arrival I came to the realization that February is a winter month not only in Toronto but most other places around the world.  With lower than expected temperatures, I still had to make the best out of the situation.  So what that the beautiful pool that initially attracted us to the hotel was not fully operational.  Traveling with my boyfriend, in Sin City and on Valentine's Day so weather was not going to ruin our moods.

So we set out to Studio 54!  I put on my best outfit that I had brought with me and we made our way toward the MGM Grand.  As soon as I walked out onto the busy Las Vegas Boulevard I knew I was in trouble.  The wind had picked up and it was now much colder than before.  My skirt was flying all over the place and the skimpy undergarments made for quite a site on the busy strip.

I've always loved weddings but such a great event, and especially on Valentine's Day was really a spectacular thing.

We finally arrived at our desired destination and after quite a few adjustments with my hair, makeup and off course that annoying short mini skirt.  The theme was quite magical.  Dancers were swinging from every dark crevice of the club, climbing on walls or from swings.  Dressed in angelic costumes they truly looked great.  But what stood out the most were the number of fresh brides and grooms celebrating their new life together.  The were everywhere!   Every private booth, lounge and VIP area was occupied by some wedding party.  To tell the truth we felt quite akward.

After a few rounds at the bar there was no more weird feelings.  The entire nightclub had turned into one giant wedding.  People were hugging and drinkning no matter if they were never a part of the original wedding.  It was a great time.  I've always loved weddings but such a great event, and especially on Valentine's Day was really a spectacular thing.
