Where's the Snow?

This is the year of wacky winter weather - frost in San Francisco, balmy temps in New York - I can't help but be as confused as the weather itself. I know there are prayers for rain, but are there any for snow? If you know of any, please put them in a comment.

Rant aside, with what snow there is, I gratefully went snowboarding the last two weekends and discovered the wonder that is Homewood Ski Resort.  With some of the best views in Tahoe, and some of the slowest ski chairs, and pretty empy right about now. The resort is going to get high speed lifts soon and the novelty of sitting on a lift for 20 minutes will be gone, but I won't complain.

On Saturday, we went to Homewood for a half day. The snow was pretty soft and thin in parts but pretty good considering the weather. Then for another hot tub marathon to soak our weary bones. On Sunday we lazed about and headed home.
