Well the day started at 7.30am with a hunt for food!!  I mooched down the road and found a supermarket, so I popped in and bought some supplies for the day. Feta, Olives, a loaf of bread, and a packet of fags!!  What more could someone need?!?   I went back to the Hotel, made some sarnies (pretty tricky with just a penknife) the checked out!!

First stop of the Day was the Capilano Suspension Bridge, which was AMAZING!!!   It's basically a rope bridge suspended 70m  above a gorge.  Once you cross that you can go up the 'Tree Walk' .  Now think Robin Hood-Prince of Theives!!   It's a series of rope bridges suspended between giant Cedar trees, and I mean GIANT.....some of them are over 70m tall!!!  It was a cool experience!!!   The whole thing was really cool, all the staff were dressed in Victorian Outfits (as the bridge has been there since the 19th Centuary), the sceneary is stunning, and the weather was fantastic......definete recommend to anyone visiting Vancouver!!

Next Stop, I went to Grouse Mountain.  When I got there I saw the $30 admission fee and nearly went again. But I decided to go for it so I paid and got on the cable car to the top.  By the time I was 1/2 way up I'd decided the money was well spent.  The view was Spectaular.  You can literally see the whole of Vancouver!!   I got to the top, had a fag (of course), then went for a wonder. To be honest there isnt a huge amount to do when you get to the top.  Theres a load of Giant carvings of the Local Wildlife (bear, eagles etc) a small cinema thingy and a lumberjack show....which was cool!!!   The main reason for going though is the scenery, which was so amazing!! One thing that made me laugh was a sign saying "Beware. Bear in Area. Do Not Approach or Feed"!!!  Yeah right, like if you saw a bear you're really likely to go over and pat it on the head arent you!!!!!

Once i'd taken my fill of the amazing scenery I decided I best go and find somewhere to stay, so I got the cable car back down and got a bus to Downtown vancouver.  I had a wonder for a bit, then found an internet cafe, where I looked a hostel.  I found one for 12pound a night, that didnt seem too far a walk from where I was. Well I walked there, and it was actually a pretty hefty stroll. Through the main commerce area, through quite a rough area, then into China Town.  So I'm here now, and I must say it's worth the money.  Smack bang in the middle of China town!   The landlord bloke is nice, he doesnt speak much english, but he's cool!!  I've got my own Room which is cool! And the internet is free which is handy!!
