Raven Beach Park was fun and hardly anyone here. Had purchased a red canoe on the way.  It was a 14 foot from Scott's Canoe place. We still travel with it today in 2006. Saw the areas sights including the mine in Virginatown which is shut down now. It was my fathers work place from 1939 to the mid 70's. I worked there in the Mill in 1968. I saw the old theater building were it cost 25 cents to see a movie when I was growing up. I was born in nearby Kirkland Lake in 1949. Someday I hope to own my old Home. See the basement picture from 1958 and now. This red canoe had to influence me. I wrote the Paddling Song for a show I would do in Edinburgh Scotland in 2003.
