Athens to Olympia

Incredibly, even with jet lag, I managed to beat the alarm and at 6a.m. I went for a walk through the city. A few hours later, we all hopped on the bus. We crossed the Corinth Canal and the Peloponnese. Our first stop was the Palace of Agamemnon at Mycenae. We walked through the Gate of the Lions and saw the sinister beehive tomb before arriving in Olympia where the games were first held in 776 BC. We got to Olympia late at night. Had dinner went for a walk through the nice, clean, and friendly town.
