I arrived in Kilgoris feeling pretty ill after getting either Malaria or food poisoning (depending on which doctor you spoke to).  Felt better after 2 days and managed to get on with preparing for the 3 day training course.  Kilgoris was a bit of luxury compared with where we'd been over the past few weeks - sit-down toilets, running water, phone lines and mains electricity!  Although there was a fire in town the night we arrived and the power was knocked out for most of the next day.

Kilgoris is much bigger than any of the other places we had stayed in.  Theres a market in town constantly and there's even a post office and a few small supermarkets.  No banks though.  But cold beer!  Lots of cold beer!  We made the most of this, so much so that we missed the early morning matatu to Kisii because we were so hungover after the last night of training and we had to stay an extra day!  After the training, we headed back to Nairobi for a night before heading off to the coast for 8 days of relaxing.
