100+ days straight of beatiful sunny days of around 28 degrees

Darwin is a great place if you don't like the cold weather, in the dry season you have over 100+ days straight of beautiful sunny days of around 28 degrees and the city comes alive with backpackers and the grey nomads (retirees) and plenty of time to explore the surrounding nature parks as well fishing, sailing or waterskiing. Local wildlife parks are good value but find Crocodylus park horrible (crocodile part is fine but lions, tigers and monkeys in little cages distresses me) and territory wildlife park is a must if you want to see all of the Australian wildlife. Restaurants are excellent but sometimes service can be a bit ordinary. The lifestyle here is very relaxed but flows through to workstyle as well.

The wet season  is sensational although not many visitors come here during this season, the storms are something to be seen to be believed with spectacular lightning shows, but the rain also brings life and the green lushness of the countryside is awesome as well all the waterfalls flowing to the maximum, they are not always accessible but flights over these are pure views of heaven on earth, and, as it is breeding season for wildlife, it is abundant on lagoons and billabongs.
