Rainy Day At Taveuni Island

Had the best nights sleep with the waves crashing about 50m from my head, the rain falling and the bar band singing me to sleep. The restaurant/bar is right next to my room so the band were sitting right outside my window.

I woke up at 5:30 to go to the International Date Line but it was still raining so I decided to sleep in and enjoy. Got up just in time to order breakfast and had another ham and cheese omelette with toast and hot cocoa. Spent the day being lazy. It rained all day so I didn't have much choice. I read alot of my book "The Magus" by J. Fowles. (very good book!). I got up enough energy to go to the shops next door for some lunch. It would be much cheaper than eating at the Garden Island Restaurant. I found a little take away shop and got a Coke and a homemade chicken pot pie!

The biggest excitement of the day was getting my laundry back!

I also had a look at the souvenir shop at Garden Island but everything was too expensive. Looks like I'll be buying gifts at the airport! Had homemade peanut butter cookies and more hot cocoa for afternoon tea, then headed off to the dive shop, which is at the resort, to do my paperwork for my dives tomorrow. I bought some milk and Milo for my breakfasts to save some money and had some chicken curry from the take away shop that burned my lips off!

The biggest excitement of the day was getting my laundry back! I wasn't going to stink anymore!! Everything I had had worn for a few days longer than it have so it was just soooo nice to have clean clothes! I still have the dorm to myself and my own bathroom! With a bathtub! I don't even have a tub at home! Such luxury today!
