Kalamata

After dinner, I took a walk through the town. In the center was a plaza square where many children played as their families socialized on benches. The plaza was quite reminiscent of my family's pueblito in Mexico.

July 9, 2004 Kalambaka to Athens and later on to CairoWe visited one of the dramatic monasteries of Meteora built high above the rock pinnacles. On the way back to Athens, our bus broke down but our Andreas, our driver performed some improvisational mechanics and we made it back in time! At 10p.m. Nicole, Van, and I bid farewell to all and left for the airport.
