Buongiorno (sp?) from the two big grumps in Naples, the ugliest stinkiest dirtiest dodgiest city we've visited so far. Get us out!!!! At least our hotel's nice? Looks like we'll be playing a lot of cards... and eating in! We were planning on doing our shopping here, but looks like most of the city is closed (minus the sketchy sidewalk vendors selling designer knockoffs, and stolen goods?).

We left Sorrento in a nice and lazy fashion. For once, we woke up AFTER 8am, and didnt check out of our hotel until 10.30!! Yes, we consider that exciting.

We have five minutes left of Internet. We'll update tomorrow. Looks like we're going to have TONS of time to kill. Time to face the creepy Italian men.... We miss Canada!

----

The internet connections were shoddy on our second day in Naples so we never got to update like we wanted. Not like there was anything to say because we didn't do much of anything!

After our first update, we decided that we had enough of wandering around Naples and decided to head back to the hotel before the sunset. We decided to have our dinner in the hotel and what a dinner! We bought 4 sfogialette (a somewhat sweet ricotta-filled pastry), Fanta, 4 bananas, and yogurt. Then we ended the night with some good ol' MTV (Yay, English!)

The next day, we didn't get up until 11AM and didn't actually go outside until 2:30pm -- can you sense the excitement we had for Naples?! We found the same raucous mess outside and the shops still closed. Monica did find us a great pizza place though.. We've never had such simple pizza before - just dough, cheese, tomato and basil. Ingredients were so fresh and we ate a whole pizza each. Yahoo!

NOthing much else to see so we just.. went back to the hotel with some more sfogialette in hand.  OH yeah, and some Bacardi Breezers because well.. MTV can only be so interesting. :) Too bad we had to end Italy in Naples. Oh well, it makes us more excited to be changing countries! Tomorrow, we start our journey to Greece! Train to Brindisi, overnight ferry to Patra (Monica still trying to convince me that we should get a room with a shower), train to Piraeus, overnight ferry to Mykonos. Perhaps this experience will rival our Cinque Terre stink.

Lisa and Monica, who had constant thoughts of: "Are you mafia?", "You definitely are mafia.", and "You must owe the mafia."
