Oh, Samara!!!! Amazing place..great beaches and a nice little town. A heaven for surfers too. The downside, however, was that it was too expensive and touristy for me (Costa Rica in general is ridiculously expensive compared to the rest of the countries in Central America).

I got here at 11am on Monday 21 st and after checking into a beachside hotel and having lunch, spent the rest of the day until sunset sitting on a sunbed, reading and watching the surfers ride some amazing waves. Met a couple of guys from my hotel and hung out with them in the evening. After the day, however, I had done EVERYTHING there was to do in the town, and didn't want to spend another valuable day lounging on the beach.I can do that in Kenya!! I wanted to try my hand at surfing, but it was extortionately priced and I would have had to wake up at an ungodly hour to start. Thus, and therefore, I left the next morning to make my way to Monteverde.

“Great beach and a nice place for a vacation and surfing!!!”
