Got up bright and early and had breakfast. I had a voucher for breakfast today.Glad I didn't have to pay cause it was a pretty basic buffet for $10. Caught the bus soon after breakfast and drove through Nadi. It's not the cleanest city and looks run down.

Went to Port Denarau to the where are catamaran was docked. The resort on Port Denarau are quite posh! Had a huge panic at the port just before my boat was leaving. I was buying a big bottle of water since we would have to buy all of our own drinks on the tour including water I thought I would stock up a bit. I went to pay the lady and couldn't find my wallet!! I searched everywhere and I must have looked quite distressed because she let me have the water and sent me to the desk to call the hostel to see if my wallet was there. While they were on the phone I found my wallet at the very bottom of my bag, hidden under everything. I quickly had to run and pay for my water and then run to the boat. I sat up top for a little bit to calm my nerves and to take some photos of Viti Levu (the main island) as we left.

We walked to the Blue Lagoon and the scenery on the way was amazing!

The Yasawa Flier was the catamaran that I would be on for the next 4.5 hrs. It was a beautiful trip through the Mamanuca Islands. Alot of people were not feeling well near the end of the trip. I had taken my motion sickness meds and was just tired and not sick.

Got to Sunrise Lagoon Resort and was a bit disappointed with the facilities. The toilets were dark and gross and so were the showers. The dorms were so crowded we could barely stand sideways between the beds. But I met a cool girl named Munni who was in the bunk below me. So with Munni and the Michelles we made the best of the islands other aspects.

We walked to the Blue Lagoon and the scenery on the way was amazing! So beautiful! The Blue Lagoon was much itself since the tide was in there really wasn't much beach but the water was wonderful! Went out snorkeling a few times and then sat in the water and listened to Munni's wonderful travel stories!

Came back and it started to rain. Munni and I stood out in the rain to cool down and Munni washed her hair using the water coming down from the rain gutter!

Had dinner and all of us were so tired that we decided to go to bed instead of staying up to watch the traditional singing and dancing.

Hi, Just read your Fiji guide and loved it. I am also going to Fiji for a few weeks to do some island hopping and not sure what to expect. So it was helpful. I think you write it really well and also enter some practical information to prepare me, especially for not being able to wash my hair in nice showers!! Thanks again. Zena.
