Got here at 6am on Thursday - too early to book into hostel so went and recovered in Botanical Gardens (including falling asleep on a bench).  Horrible hostel and room stank, probably due to the Scottish guy in bed when we arrived at 2pm.  Went to Migration Museum then the Fringe Festival, saw a very funny performance by the Bumpuppets (yes, bums with eyes and a nose stuck on, acting mostly as Robert De Niro).

Friday: went to Glenelg and lazed on the beach, then had a delicious meal and wine as it was Toni and my last night together.  Luckily she left some of her pasta so that was my dinner for Saturday sorted!

Saturday: checked into better hostel, after free pancake breakfast (the only good thing about the first hostel).  Dragged myself to a local gym in the afternoon, before undoing all the good by drinking loads of beer in the hostel's bar.

Sunday: did a winery tour, but this time of the Barossa Valley.  Went to 5 wineries and had a German style platter for lunch.  Carried on drinking in the evening, of course.

Monday: very lazy day, as it was a public holiday due to the Adelaide Cup and everything, including the gym, was closed.  Saw a street performer at the Fringe festival, then ended the evening with just 2 beers, then some hot Milo and early to bed!

Last few days:  didn't do a lot, met some nice people and spent most evenings in the hostel bar drinking beer.  Went out with the girls from my dorm one night and we met two interesting characters, one of them was a weird English bloke and the other was very freaky so we ran away once the club closed!
