Today was another chapter in the DaVinci Code book of tourism…Roslyn Chapel. We took Lothian Bus 15A and visited Roslyn Chapel and Castle. To our surprise, the chapel was under renovation and scaffolding, so the pictures we took weren’t great, but still very interesting. I realized the “DaVinci Code” movie was filmed at the castle not the chapel as in the book. Probably due to the renovation. Also, we later visited the Royal Botanical Gardens. It was a nice break from sun as there was plenty of shade and a good place for relief from the heat. On our way back to the hotel, we shopped for more souvenirs on the Royal Mile and Princes Street. We had to buy an extra suitcase at Jenner’s department store for the extra souvenirs. Dinner was at the hotel and was very good. We took the hotel owners, Max and Annette’s, dogs (Celtic and Callie) for a walk after dinner. After the walk, we visited and drank with Max and another guest, Kristie, from Denver, Colorado. Walked = 10.25 miles.
