Best Italian in Bali
From Bali in Bali, Indonesia on Nov 30 '08
Cafe Marzano moved from its previous Jl. Kunti (along Bali Deli) to Jl. Double Six. It's smaller but now has more outdoor seating. For those craving real Italian food without the pretense of a high-end establishments, Cafe Marzano's the place.
Take an outdoor table and watch people walking past. I went for lunch and it was full of expat families. Given it's located in the heart of the clubbing scene, I'm sure the night crowd would be more vibrant.
It serves great pasta and pizza though the menu comes with a longer pizza list. You can't blame the owner given the stone oven they've built in the open-kitchen. My favorite is the Penne Arrabiata, tangy tomato paste with a slight twist of spiciness.
The price is unbelievably affordable.
Quote from the menu "Our Pizaa is crafted from Italian ingredients imported by Cafe Marzano under the demand of our master pizza maker Mauro Ferrarese, due to his experience acquitted in Iatly for the last twenty years". I didn't get to meet Mauro, please send him my compliment if you do meet him.
Cafe Marzano's tel is +62361 8744438. It does delivery to the Seminyak area.
