This was my second favorite place after Vatican city.  I first heard of the Borghese gallery while watching Rick Steves rave about it in one of his travel videos.  This is a place where you have to make reservations prior to your arrival.  You also have a specific time slot to visit the gallery.  Seems like a lot of work, but well worth the effort.  My favorite sculpture was The Rape of Proserpina, which almost looks like it can become alive in any second.  The other thing I liked about the Borghese Galleria was the location- it's set in a beautiful garden / park overlooking Rome- great for pictures!  Had I known of the scenic location, I would've planned for a picnic under a tree somewhere.  I also noticed that the area attracted several joggers.  If I were some big celebrity party planner, I would definitely plan a function here.  After the gallery, we headed back to the streets to search for another gastronomic outing.  We stumbled across a place called, Gargani.  It's a friendly, small deli style restaurant that offered a little bit of everything. Afterwards, we headed back to Bed in Art (our bed and breakfast) and called it a night.

My favorite sculpture was The Rape of Proserpina, which almost looks like it can become alive in any second.
