When we got to Rotorua we chilled for a night, watched a DVD and had a little sleepy. I know I know, yes we are VERY rock and roll. We did this to prepare nicely for the day after which started for Luke, Jake and I with a short haircut. So now Jake looks like a skinhead nazi and me and Luke look normal. (I didn't go as short as the other two because I am well aware of how good I already look)   After this we all piled into a bus which took us to a place called Hells Gate. Named by Irish author George Bernard Shaw after noting that the place reminded him of 'Hell on earth'. He probably decided this because the ENTIRE place (including our dorm room) stank of burning Sulphur. The only plus to this being how easy it was to get away with farting. (aparantly, I don't know, it wasn't me!) Honest. Mentioning the name reminds me, that place we stayed called the Bay of Islands... What a shit name! I definatly would have called it something more like 'The islands of Death bay' or something like that! Luke tells me however that it is called this because Captain Cook got bored of naming places because he found so many that he started naming them simple names. What a boring bastard.

When the bus stopped we dressed up in wet suits and life jackets ready to start white water rafting! Yes! This is our first proper exciting NZ activity! And it was awsome, we decided to raft the route that has the largest commercially raftable waterfall in the world which is 7metres. This waterfall is high enough to mean that the raft goes completely vertical. Anyway the first couple of rapids and waterfalls were fun enough and helped us to learn how to hold on and when to row etc and then we stopped before the 7 meter one to look over the edge. From the raft we couldn't see the bottom but to be fair we weren't all that close otherwise presumably we would have gone over. Then we did it. The fall itself was amazing, but at the bottom (as predicted by the instructors because we were heavy boys, TEAM SAUSAGE) the entire boat completely submerged underwater with us in obviously. Then it came up and almost flipped, all this can be seen in photos which have been uploaded on facebook by Pavey.

Mainly playing with gravity.

The other boat after us did capsize as we watched. Hahaha! Yep. We laughed at them only to realise that we were meant to paddle over to help them. So then we did that instead. After this we were asked if we wanted to jump in so we did. We held on to the boat from the outside and rode the next rapids in the actual river!

Later, after the river fun we had a few drinks to celebrate. Then we went to a bar and met up with some of the people who rafted. Then bed.

Today we woke up pretty early, ate and then drove over to the Luge. This is the same as the Luge that Greg, Luke and I did in Singapore except it was longer with 3 tracks to ride. Scenic, intermediate and advanced. We rode all three and had ALOT of fun racing! On the advanced one our little car things came of the road and did a little jump bless em. Pavey would like to point out that he stared last on the last run and came first. I didn't want to brag but as he insists on doing so I'll point out that on the second run I started next to last and came second. Which isn't bad either. So Whatever yeah, we're all good. (even though its the taking part that counts. Actually)

I've realised that everything in NZ is based on falling down or off things.

Now we have driven down to lake Toupoh. (I don't think thats how its spelt) for a skydive tomorrow! I'll let you know how that goes! In a bit!

Sharon lost her salbutamol inhailer for her asthma in that river. Did you happen to see it? If so, I think she might want it back, she cried when it was lost. Which I was cross about. but to be fair, she might die without it. When are you back? I bought a new nano, and need to get home to nick all of your CDs (While you are still away obviously, and can DO NOTHING ABOUT IT! Ah ha ha ha
