Well thats that then! All over! I arrived home on sunday 18th, having flown into the new terminal 5 at Heathrow at 6am, (all new to me as it wasn't even open when i left). I was pleased to find that my bike had decided to join me, and not set off on further adventures on it's own, British Airways are good because they are one of the few that give an extra baggage allowance for cyclists, most other Airlines recognize that golfers, divers, and surfers need "a bit extra", but totally disregard bike riders. However BA do have a habit of "loosing" the odd bike or two.

My friend Garry had traveled up from London town to meet and greet me, which was nice, the trouble was we were so busy catching up that i missed my coach and had to wait another two hours for the next one, still that meant we could drink even more of the outrageously priced coffee at dunkin donuts.

10,000k on two chains

Been home for 5 days now and i am slowly getting things sorted, laundry was a first priority, as i had given up washing any kit during the last week, and it was absolutely "minging". Sorting through all the bits and bobs, discarding stuff that i never used, and after being bounced around in my Red Box/Permanent Bag is now battered and worn.

Put the bike back together yesterday and popped down to the boys at Bike Lab, I'm glad that i was able to report that apart from the problem with the back wheel slipping, the bike performed great. Over 10,200k completed with two chains, one rear cassette, one gear cable, and two sets of handlebar grips.
